Earlier this year, E.P. Carrillo announced the creation of the Essence Series, a group of six cigar lines, each with a different wrapper leaf. The third in the series, Honduras, has started shipping to retailers today.

As its name suggests, Honduran tobaccos are a heavy component in this cigar’s blend: the wrapper is a leaf of Honduran Olancho San Agustín, Honduran binder and a mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. Unlike the previous two lines in the Essence Series (Sumatra and Maduro), E.P. Carrillo Honduras is not made at the company’s Casa Carrillo factory, but rather at one of the Plasencia’s Honduran factories. Click for article
